BIS Bengaluru Conducts 'Manak Samvad' to Support New Licensees on Compliance and Certification
Bengaluru; The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bengaluru Branch Office, conducted the 'Manak Samvad' programme at RG Royal Hotel, Bengaluru. This initiative aimed to guide newly granted BIS license holders in understanding key operational, procedural, and compliance-related aspects of their certification.
The session opened with a welcome address Shri K. Rajashekhar, Scientist-D and Joint Director, BIS Bengaluru, who emphasized the importance of being well-versed in the BIS certification framework. He explained that the Manak Samvad platform serves as an essential bridge between BIS and its licensees, offering clarity and guidance for effective implementation of licensing terms.
An overview of BIS operations and certification processes was presented, covering conditions of licence, lawful use of the Standard Mark, recent updates in operational guidelines, and compliance aspects such as timely submission of test reports, preparation for inspections, and effective use of BIS online portals.
Shri Narender Reddy Beesu, Scientist-E and Director, BIS Bengaluru, also addressed the participants and oversaw the distribution of certificates, licence documents, and endorsements to the new licensees.
The programme witnessed active engagement from participants, who appreciated the practical insights, real-time examples, and the supportive approach of the BIS team. The interactive nature of the session enabled new licensees to clarify doubts and strengthen their understanding of compliance requirements.
With over 30 attendees, the Manak Samvad programme reaffirmed BIS Bengaluru's commitment to handholding stakeholders, promoting ease of doing business, and ensuring continued trust in certified products.
