On 14thSeptember 2025, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital proudly celebrated its 15thGraduation Day at the ACS Convention Centre, located within the campus.
The event was led by the Founder Chancellor, Dr. A.C. Shanmugam, and attended by a host of esteemed dignitaries including President A.C.S. Arun Kumar, Managing Trustee Smt. Lalitha Lakshmi, Executive Director Dr. S. Vijayanand, CEO Sri C.N. Seetharam, Dean Dr. B. Sathyamurthy, Advisor Dr. S. Naveen, Principal Dr. Basavaraj Bhandare, Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen Kumar, among other respected guests.
The occasion was further graced by the presence of the Honourable Union Minister of State, Sri V. Somanna, Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Jal Shakti, who served as the Chief Guest.
The event also had the privilege of hosting Sri. Nainar Nagendran, Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (Tamil Nadu), and Former Minister, Government of Tamil Nadu, as the Guest of Honour
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. B. Sathyamurthy, followed by felicitation of the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour by Dr. A.C. Shanmugam and fellow dignitaries, in recognition of their notable contributions to the state and public service.
In his address to the gathering, Dr. A.C. Shanmugam congratulated the graduating students on their accomplishments and urged them to strive not only to be competent doctors but also compassionate caregivers. He emphasized that while continuous learning and excellence are essential, true success in medicine lies in empathy and service to those in need.
Sri V. Somanna, in his inspiring speech, encouraged students to aim high in their careers while reminding them of the pressing need for skilled doctors in India’s rural sectors. He highlighted the role of health in national development and called upon the graduates to take inspiration from Dr. Shanmugam’s legacy of philanthropy and public service.
Sri. Nainar Nagendran,also addressed the gathering.He congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and emphasised the importance of integrity, discipline, and dedication in the medical profession. He urged the young doctors to serve society with compassion and contribute actively to the progress of the nation, reminding them that the true strength of a country lies in the health and well-being of its people.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards and certificates, recognizing the academic achievements and excellence of the graduating students.
