Patriotism is Reflected Through Service, Discipline and Integrity" – Col. Rajnarayan

Col. Rajnarayan (Garhwal Rifles), a Kargil War veteran, called upon students to imbibe the values of patriotism, discipline and selfless service, stating that true nation-building begins with responsible citizens committed to excellence in every sphere of life.
He was speaking at the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas commemoration organised by the NCC Unit of , Garden City University, at the university auditorium .
Sharing his experiences from the Kargil War, Col. Rajnarayan said the victory was achieved through courage, teamwork and an unwavering commitment to the nation despite extreme hardships. He urged students to develop resilience, leadership qualities and moral courage to face life's challenges, adding that every young citizen has a role to play in strengthening the country.
He encouraged students to remain physically fit, mentally strong and technologically competent while upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Stressing that patriotism extends beyond the battlefield, he said dedication to one's profession and contribution to society are equally important forms of national service.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. M. Ramachandra Gowda, Registrar Dr. Sheeja M. S., Academic Dean Dr. Biju Dharmapalan, NCC officer Major Vishnnu faculty members and students from across India attended the programme. The interactive session concluded with students engaging the veteran on leadership, resilience and the enduring legacy of the Kargil War.
